The Pinehurst Medical Center has asked me to send them an email, and this Blog post will include the email I am sending.
The reason I am posting it here is:
Even though the email is part of the paper trail, posting it on my blog is also a way to show that I am corresponding with Pinehurst Medical Center and working with them to resolve this nearly two-decade-long issue.
(This is going to be word-for-word, nothing extra added, to keep things concise.)

Hello.

I was referred to Dr. Pate by Dr. Tozzy for Acid Reflux.
Dr. Pate would not stop asking me why I did not want to continue taking the medication I was on. After constantly telling him that I did not want to take it anymore, I finally snapped and told him, "Listen, I know you doctors get paid for writing prescriptions." And before I could complete the statement, he got loud and mad.
I went there to have something done, and he purposely sabotaged my test results by telling me that I did not have to stop taking my meds leading up to the test.
It was only after the test was complete, while talking with the physician who performed the test on me, that I remembered him telling me that I needed to stop taking the meds three days before the test.
Dr. Pate had rattled me up so bad with his bombarding questions on why I did not want to take the meds that I had forgotten about that 3-day statement he had made.
And thanks to him, I lost a good-paying job, along with other issues, due to extreme acid reflux, because this doctor would not stop badgering me about why I did not want to stop being on a drug I had been taking for 18 years at that point. 33 years today. (I take OTC meds now for this issue.)
Do you know what it is like to bend over and pick up your 6-month-old granddaughter only to be hit with severe acid reflux and nearly throw up on her? Well, that happened in 2018, and I just sat there and cried before I missed her face by inches.
What Dr. Pate did to me was evil and vile,
What else do you want to know?
